The Secret to Long Lasting Strawberries

Do you find yourself not using your strawberries in time? Or even finding a great deal on multiple containers of strawberries, but do not want to waste? Here is your strawberry life hack that will give you an extra one-two weeks of shelf life.


Time:

15 minutes


Ingredients:

  • 1-3 containers of strawberries

  • 5 cups of water per 1-3 container of strawberries

  • 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Wash strawberries and put into medium-large sized bowl (depending on amount of strawberries).

  2. Add water and distilled vinegar.

  3. Soak for 10 minutes.

  4. Drain, dry, and store in refrigerator.

Tips:

  • I have been able to keep strawberries up to 3 weeks. If strawberries are more ripe, they may not last as long.
